Some workouts are designed to build our fitness. Others are designed to use our fitness. A special few are bigger than all of us.
Well done to all our members who “stepped up” to the challenge yesterday.
Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of seeing two of our dedicated Coaches and four passionate members head down to @crossfitsouthwharf to attend the @burgenerstrength Level 1 Weightlifting Course!
It’s so inspiring to watch not only our coaches continually seek out opportunities to upskill but also our members who are eager to gain valuable knowledge and experience beyond our gym walls. We are so proud to have a community driven by a love for learning and personal growth.
A huge shout-out to our team for investing in their development and bringing that energy back to share with all of us! This commitment to progress is what makes CrossFit Bass Coast such a special place, and we can’t wait to see everyone benefit from the skills they picked up.
Expose children to gym environments.
Your kids are growing up in a world that constantly sends messages—both obvious and subtle—about body image, self-worth based on looks, and quick-fix solutions to life’s challenges.
As a parent, you have a couple of options: equip them early with tools and attitudes to handle it all, or hope they can navigate this tricky world of media and marketing on their own.
If they learn early about the importance of building both a strong body and mind, eating nutritious food, and understanding that effort leads to positive results, they’re much less likely to get caught up in unrealistic ideals and manipulative messaging.
This isn’t about getting kids to lift weights at a young age. It’s about showing them behaviors you hope they’ll pick up. It’s about sharing knowledge, teaching useful skills, and giving them experiences and perspectives that will benefit them throughout life.
